Here comes the cavalry

I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of the whole gang back home. This past week Ellen and her mom braved a trip to Connecticut with both kids, leaving me home to watch the dogs and count off the days until this place isn’t so quiet again.

Though they were in a phone and internet vortex where signals couldn’t penetrate (those places still exist, even on the east coast!) I was able to secure these few photos documenting their adventures. It looks like the kids were successful in tiring out the rest of the family. Job well done, guys.

Egg Hunting

Saturday was a fun day of egg coloring at Jamma Jane’s. On Sunday, the crew headed to our house. While the boys entertained each other inside (William just wants to give hugs, Lyndon just wants the toys), Addie chased down a few dozen eggs around the yard and tossed them into her basket with a resounding crack. Lots of fun, lots of egg salad.

First bite!

William went in for his first bite of food this week. If it would have been up to his “helper” it would have been a force feeding. For right now, he’s much more interested in the soft handle of his spoon than he is about any food…
